NY Jets Blackout? NFL Says Sure

Any NFL game that is not sold out 3 days prior to kickoff can be blacked out. We told you on July 24th that the New York Jets were in danger of not selling out and, thus, having blacked out games.

The NFL has responded by saying - FU Jets fans. Tell Woody to buy 'em.

“There is no consideration being given to amending the blackout policy,” emailed NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy. “The policy is important in supporting the ability of the clubs to sell tickets and keeping our games attractive as television programming with large crowds so we can keep all our games on free TV.”
