Bud Selig Finally Figures Out How to Market Black Baseball Players - Jackie Robinson Day

With the number of African American MLB players dwindling - Commish Bud Selig was at a loss. He was running out of marketable black players. So what did he do?

Jackie Robinson Day! Every player will wear #42.

But wait, you say. Jackie Robinson Day celebrated by everyone wearing #42 is a noble, if corny, gesture.

No, it isn't. Good ol' Bud is selling #42 autographed jerseys from all the MLB teams: http://bit.ly/culm1P Yep, he always knew how to profit off of a black jersey...now he's profiting off of a black player. Kudos Bud. Kudos.

Unless Jackie had a stint with the Rockies that we've all forgotten about.
