Hey Juice Monkeys - we told you Anita Marks was joining WFAN - and she did so last night coupled with the comedic sports genius that is Adam the Bull. Yeah, WFAN brass couldn't find anyone in-house or in-the-metro-area who would work for minimum wage.....so they imported Marks from Baltimore - probably at a huge premium. (Anita will be involved in the New York Giants pre game and post game radio broadcasts that air on WFAN. She is also the sideline reporter for the United Football League and hosts her own Fantasy Football Show on SIRIUS)Anita was the QB for the Miami Fury, a women's pro team that played in the Orange Bowl. She also posed for Playboy: "As a quarterback, I love to be in a double-slot shotgun. I love to spread the field. I love to send four receivers out and just gun away."
But the NY Giants weren't the only folks laying into Ms. Marks. The [Apparently Unmoderated] Baltimore Sun forums lit up with Poor Giants fans: Marks to WFAN. Some of the lowlights:
Will be the Giants reporter for WFAN. What in the world are they thinking? The NY media (Muschnick,Raismann,etc) will have a field day picking apart her idiocy.
She'll probably try to bust Plex out of Rykers.
She didn't get the contract because they would not allow her to work her side gigs like the UFL sideline reporting...of course...had nothing to do with her annoyance of the fans and Scott's discomfort with her antics and rants...
Congrats to the Giants for being the first team to hire a transvestite to cover their team. They are true trailblazers.
jen royle the new oriole insider or whatever made up job they gave her, twittered all these great woman reporters to follow and one of them was "sportschick anita" and I said to UNFOLLOW and she blocked me from her tweets.
Jesus H. Christ - and you thought NY was tough on its radio folk? Let's give her a chance, right? Wonder what the folks over at The Mike Francesa think?

Marks has talent and you don't get jobs at WFAN, Sirius-XM and the NY Giants by not knowing sports.
Everyone has a right to like or dislike an on air personality - however to dedicate such time and resources to hating on Marks is sad and frankly I feel sorry for you.
You and the other people have a right to not listen to Marks but to keep up this internet abuse is frankly childish and proves there are a lot of sad want to be sports talk show hosts who never made it.
I hope someday that you actually get a real life and join us in the real world.
