World Cup Host South Africa Halts Circumcisions

Come for the soccer, avoid the rapes, and don't get the circumcisions. That should be South Africa's new motto as the country has declared a moratorium on circumcisions in certain areas.

Why?

Because botched circumcisions in South Africa killed 40 boys and put over 100 in the hospital. This month. This month!

Why?

Because they are done by folks who are not doctors who regularly cut 50+ penises before cleaning the knife. Suprisingly, that leads to gangrene and pneumonia.

And how about cleaning the penises? "They use herbs to clean, hence this thing becomes gangrenous and infected," Sizwe Kupelo, health department spokesman said.

Ladies visiting for the World Cup are advised not to have sex with any of the locals.
