20-Year-Old College Wrestler Dies During Match

20-year-old Rio Honda College wrestler Jesus Cruz, captain of the team, collapsed Saturday at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut. Jesus was pronounced dead at San Dimas Community Hospital later that day.

"Jesus was the epitome of the ideal student-athlete," Hondo President Ted Martinez Jr. said. "In addition to being an excellent student who maintained a high GPA, he was a Community College All American, captain of the RHC wrestling team and a superb leader."

The remainder of the tournament was cancelled.
