Nebraska's Eric Martin Suspended for Helmet-to-Helmet Hunting of Andrew Hudson [Video]
“Mr. [Eric] Martin committed a flagrant act of targeting an opponent with the crown of his helmet in violation of NCAA football rules,” Big 12 Commissioner Dan Beebe said as he handed down a one game suspension. “This dangerous hit is one that we in the football community are trying to remove from the game.”
Martin said after the game that he wanted to apologize to Andrew Hudson, however, he had already been carted off the field.
