Did a NY Jets public relations employee (or any employee for that matter) go into Jennifer Sterger's personnel file in order to retrieve her telephone number?
If the answer is yes - they are done. Gone. Fired.
If the answer is yes or no (ie, the person in question is fingered but they got the number from Jenn or from someone else who had it 'because they had it') - then, the Jets and their attorneys; the NFL, its attorneys, and their security detail; Sterger's attorney and his team of ex-FBI investigators will all attempt to piece the entire story together. The evidence will be tracked to determine if it was in fact Brett Favre who sent lewd photos to her.
Behind the scenes - all parties involved are hoping that the party that supplied Deadspin with the voicemails, pics, etc., turns themself in. Today.
This is the cluster fuck you get when you 'turn the other cheek' so to speak...
