Facing Public Relations Nighmare in Favre Fiasco, Jets Hire Attorney

The Blitz has learned that the New York Jets, faced with the knowledge that someone is close to outing the Jets employee who may have been complicit in Favre's possible harassment of then Jets employee Sterger, has retained Seyfarth Shaw labor and employment partner Gary Glaser as counsel in the matter.

Glaser told Am Law Daily:

"Our firm has represented the Jets and many other NFL teams in connection with their workers' comp matters for years and I've had a personal relationship with their in-house counsel for quite some time. But I was only recently retained by the Jets to handle their labor and employment [issues]."

Deadspin has alleged that a Jets public relations employee helped facilitate contact between Favre and Sterger. We reported earlier today that the Sterger Team believes that it will have confirmation of said Jets employee's name by midweek.
