wow - stupid call - but I'll be really surprised if the officials admit their error
Calm down, uninformed masses. The rule is you get flagged for any contact of a hand or knee to the ground. No penalty for pointing to the sky or crossing yourself. Probably for running in a circle screaming "I LOVE JESUS! I LOVE JESUS!" Nothing to do with religion, the rules are the rules.
That should be open to interpertation by the refs (which I am sure it is) so the ref is obviously not a happy person, should get him to church!
