Either Terry Collins, Jay Horwitz, Fred Wilpon or Mike Francesa Called Mike Francesa Today...[Audio]

Phil Mushnick wrote that after Mets manager Terry Collins spoke with WFAN's Mike Francesa for the first time ever, he was told by Mets PR guru Jay Horwitz that he was going to be doing a weekly show with WFAN. When Collins asked with whom and was told that it was with Francesa, the Mets skip replied: “Why don’t you just put me on a cross and throw darts at me?”

Francesa addressed the incident on-air today. He calls Mushnick 'out of his mind' because Collins 'has been in my office,' not realizing that the comment is attributed to Terry after his first ever interview with Mike.

Reader The Brooklyn Mutt points out Francesa first says that the Mets called him to say Collins was kidding. Then he says that Collins was the one who called him before, in the same sentence, he says that Jay Horwitz was the caller. That becomes 'the owner' called him until it morphs into, wait for it, Francesa had called the Mets to get a comment on the most recent NY Times article about their financial situation.
