Francesa Rips Boomer & Carton over DiMaggio Streak [Video]

Joe DiMaggio's 56 game hitting streak started 70 years ago yesterday. May 15, 1941 JD went 1-4 against Eddie Smith and the Chicago White Sox. It ended two months later on July 17 as pitchers Al Smith and Jim Bagby of the Cleveland Indians held him hitless.

Rumors swirled around the impending breakup of Mike and the Mad Dog in the summer of 2008. Various vacations kept them apart until WFAN did a remote: The Major League Baseball All-Star Fan Fest in New York, 7/11/08. Mike Francesa and Chris Russo, in their last public appearance as a duo, took the time to rip Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton over the streak.

(We don't know why there are pauses, but they aren't too bad) Enjoy.

*Update -- So...is the Coke/ESPN flap Francesa v Carton 3?
