Jerry Sandusky uses child charity’s insurance policy to pay for probe of accusers

This is why your insurance bills are so high. Jerry Sandusky is using his child charity’s insurance policy to pay a legal defense that has already topped $200k.

"We have not been able to develop full profiles of these people [Sandusky's alleged victims]," his attorney said "in an interview just days prior to Monday's sweeping court order which now prohibits prosecutors, defense lawyers and potential witnesses from making public comments about the case."

USA Today reports: "The insurance company, Federal Insurance Co., however has gone to federal court to contend that it is not obligated to pay defense costs, citing the former coach's alleged "reprehensible acts.'"
