Knicks Fans Boo but NYDN's Isola Thinks All Area Greeks are Thrilled with NY's Papanikolaou Pick

New York Knicks fans booed the team's drafting of what many have called an "NBA Ready" forward in Kostas Papanikolaou, perhaps because there is no guarantee that the Olympiacos BC player will even come to the states.



Apparently not learning anything from the Jeremy Lin fiasco, NY Daily News scribe Frank Isola wants everyone to know that Greek Knicks announcer Spero Dedes has to be thrilled (as do numerous area diners) because, you know, Κώστας Παπανικολάου is Greek.

I can tell you this about Kostas Papanikolaou: Spero Dedes, the Neptune Diner in Astoria & Charbroil Diner in Montclair are all thrilled.
