A Line Drive to the Neck is Not a Good Start for A Pitcher, Just ask Pittsburgh Pirates Prospect Gerrit Cole

Pittsburgh Pirates prospect (and last year's #1 pick) Gerrit Cole took a line drive to the face in the Altoona Curve's game against the Harrisburg Senators on Tuesday at Metro Bank Park. He stayed in the game for the inning, because he's a baseball prospect, before leaving with swelling.



"They're doing some tests -- [a] CT [scan] -- on him, to check him out," Altoona manager P.J. Forbes told the (Harrisburg) Patriot-News after the game. "I don't know anything more than that.
