French Fried Runner Mekhissi-Benabbad Shoved a 14-year-old Mascot Down in What Looked Like a Scene from 'The Dictator'
French fry Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad won the gold medal in the 3000 meter steeplechase at The European Athletic Championships in Helsinki yesterday. In what looked like a scene from The Dictator, he then went and smacked the swag out of the hand of a 14-year-old girl who was dressed in the mascot costume. And then, of course, he shoved her down.
The girl had the wind knocked out of her but suffered no other injuries.
