Mets Rookie Pitcher Matt Harvey Had all Kinds of Firsts and a Record to Boot Last Night

Matt Harvey earned his first career strikeout, hit, and set the NY Mets' record for K's (11) in a debut en route to his first MLB win.

To top that line off he K'd the first batter he faced AND doubled in his first major league at bat.



The Mets beat the D-Backs 3-1. Harvey went 2-2 at the plate and pitched 5.1 innings of three hit scoreless ball.
