Charles Schmidt is the fan who was hit by the WWE's CM Punk and he broke his glasses

OK, so the WWE's CM Punk may have actually hit that fan Monday on Raw. Charles Schmidt had his glasses broken by the wrestling World Champion but has declined to press charges.

CM had turned around on the stairs to face Vince McMahon when the incident occurred. "Next thing you know he comes at me pops me and my glasses go flying and i go down to the ground," Schmidt said. Asked if he touched the wrestler, Charles said, "No, not at all."

The WWE issued this little statement of nonsense: "WWE regrets that proper security measures were not in place, and CM Punk apologizes for reacting in the heat of the moment."

So wrestling is fake but there is heat in the moment while the boss/employee script plays out -- please make a note of that.

Of course Schmidt is considering hiring an attorney for a possible lawsuit.....
