Slovenly Wyoming Coach Dave Christensen Curses Out Air Force Coach Troy Calhoun

Wyoming Coach Dave Christensen had some issues with Air Force head coach Troy Calhoun (a USAFA grad who served his country from 1989-95 as an active duty officer in the Air Force) after the Falcons beat his Cowboys 28-27 last weekend on Military Appreciation Night.

"Great fucking ethics Mr. Fucking Howdy Doody"? "Get in your press conference, fly boy!"?

Frank Schwab reports, "He was angry because he thought Air Force quarterback Connor Dietz faked an injury near the sideline when he lost his helmet and had to come out of the game, which bought some more time for the Falcons. Air Force backup quarterback Kale Pearson scored the go-ahead touchdown on the next play and the Falcons went on to win."

Christensen apologized later:

"I want to apologize to Wyoming fans, the Mountain West Conference and the game of college football for my actions and for the comments that I made after our game against Air Force," Christensen said. "I let my emotions, my passion for our football program and the frustrations of the first half of the season get the best of me, and my actions reflected negatively on our program.

"I have always tried to teach the young men in our program the importance of sportsmanship in our game, and with that said, I believe it is important to let them know that when you do make a mistake you need to stand up and take responsibility for your actions. That is what I am doing with this apology."

Now read that again and look for the apology to Air Force 'fly boys.'
