Ex-Mets Exec Dave Howard Named Prez, MSG Sports

Dave Howard has been named as president of MSG Sports, in charge of business ops for the Rangers and Knicks.

“We’re confident Dave’s vision and management skills will ensure we continue to earn the passionate loyalty of generations of fans, while developing strategic growth opportunities that help drive our business,” Hank Ratner, chief executive of MSG said.

Howard was key in moving the NY Mets from Shea to Citi Field and was with that team for 20 years.

Howard succeeds Scott O’Neil, and is an acquaintance of Mike Francesa.
