Bob Raissman a failed radio host and a scab: Craig Carton

It's funny. In a piece by Bob Raissman of the New York Daily News titled 'NJ Gov. Chris Christie's uncalled for rip job of NY Jets writer Manish Mehta proves he's ready for sports talk gig in land of no accountability' today - the NYDN has ripped a screen grab from this YouTube video and splashed it all over the place...all without mentioning its source. Raissman then moved on to take on the Guv's appearance with Craig Carton yesterday:

Opportunities in the field of yaks are waiting for Christie. On Monday, he hooked up with WFAN’s Craig Cartoon, barely squeezing into the seat vacated by the vacationing Norman Julius Esiason. We have visions of Christie on a much bigger stage, like becoming Mike (Sports Pope) Francesa’s partner.

With Cartoon, Christie showed he’s hip to the Ten Commandments of Talk, one being when you disagree with the messenger, kill him. Dig deep into your bag of vitriol. The Guv had problems with Daily News Jets writer Manish Mehta’s persistent questioning of Rex Ryan Saturday night during an uncomfortable, cringe-inducing postgame press conference. Christie bypassed any analysis of Mehta’s line of questioning, or a verbal slap on the wrist, electing to make it personal. Kind of like critiquing of one of his political opponents.

Of course Craig replied today on Norman & Carton:

"Bob Raissman had the single worst tryout in the history of this radio station. He failed miserably trying to be a talk show host...sits on a TV show and then is a critic of other tv shows...and curries favor with those he works with and for...." Carton continued, "Manish Mehta invents stuff."

CC was also upset that the NY Post declined to cover a story about the NYDN before moving back to Raissman, "Raissman is a joke. During the writer's strike back in the day he was the first one to walk across the picket line and keep writing. He had the failed tryout here to be a talk show host so he has an agenda against WFAN. And number three -- he was one who said Norman & Carton are never going to make it...then you make it now what's he going to do? We robbed him of his power."

Concluding with, "Mike Lupica is a bad guy. Douchey."

Very real now.
