St. John’s Prep's (MA) Maryland Bound Johnny Thomas Scored a 107-YD Pick-6 Because he didn't Know he was in the Endzone

Picture a high school football field criss-crossed with all those soccer lines and you'll understand why St. John’s Prep's (MA) Johnny Thomas didn't take a knee 7 yards deep in the end zone on an interception against Central Catholic last night at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

“Honestly I didn’t realize I was in the end zone, I thought I was on the one,” Thomas admitted. “And then when I looked at the line I realized I went out of the end zone so I had to bring it out or it was going to be a safety. I brought it out and got on the other side.”

Thomas, a running back by trade...ran for 228 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries and added a fumble recovery on D to his score above. SJP downed CC 40-21.
