Mets want you to believe PTs didn't stop Matt Harvey's planned from the mound throw for next week

Matt Harvey will not throw from the mound next week. And the Mets will have you believe that it is not a medical decision, just a 'we are going to slow him down and he'll be fine with that move.'

He’s fine,” a team source told the NY Daily News. “It’s nothing physical, it’s just a plan to be more cautious.”

“If something happens to him, that would just be a huge blow,” one of the sources explained.

“We just want him to take it a little slower. Nobody wants him to be less competitive, we just want to be cautious.”

“He will just go a little slower,” pitching coach Dan Warthen added.
