Former Bears QB Jim McMahon Advocates for NFL to Allow Players to Use Marijuana as Painkiller

"There’s so many uses to this plant," McMahon said while discussing the merits of marijuana as a substitute for painkillers such as opioids at a cannabis convention in New York City.

McMahon, who won a Super Bowl with the Bears in 1985, told The Chicago Tribune back in January that he used medical marijuana to overcome an addiction to painkillers.
