When the show launched, our initial guess was proven correct. It was awful.
It got worse. And FS1 noticed:
FS1 is a much (much) worse place since they unceremoniously dumped Mike Francesa. But...they don't have Al Dukes as a call screener so they still promote video very well. Colin Cowherd's annoyingly repetitive 'The Herd' had seen the benefits of that YouTube promotion until...Jamie Horowitz' redundant 'Speak For Yourself' came out June 13th. Since that release...FOX has pulled about 80% of The Herd's YouTube offerings and pumped out that many Speak For Yourself shorts.
From that post on? FS1 pulled 99% of Colin Cowherd's The Herd YouTube videos and went almost all SFY.
Well, it isn't working. Andrew Bucholtz reports:
Much-maligned and low-rated Fox Sports 1 debate show Speak For Yourself is getting a new timeslot. The Colin Cowherd and Jason Whitlock debate-fest (with Jason McIntyre as the third man in) is moving from its current 6 p.m. Eastern timeslot to 5 p.m. Eastern as of September 5...
Oh good God. That much less of a gap between Colin on the Herd and Colin repeating himself on SFY? Almost as bad as when one accidentally leaves CBS Sports on after Doug Gottlieb and Adam Schein is on in the distance.
