Gary Carter punched Keith Hernandez as the Mets clinched the NL East in 1988

As chronicled on SNY last night - watch Ron Darling (on his 115th pitch...) get the game ending 'K' against the Phillies Lanch Parrish to clinch the NL East back in 1988. 24 second mark, as the team comes together to celebrate -- watch Gary Carter's left glove hand come around clip Keith Hernandez right in the face.

Ahhh. Good for you Kid. Good for you.

Interesting side note - during 1989's ensuing spring training - Carter would tackle Hernandez. He would do it after Darryl Strawberry punched Keith during a team photo.
