Orioles call up Trey Mancini's first MLB hit was a HR...& mom was quite excited

Baltimore Orioles prospect Trey Mancini homered into the stands in left-center for a solo homer last night against the Boston Red Sox -- his first career MLB hit. His mom, Beth, was very very excited.

Afterwards, Beth said, "I'm just numb. The whole experience. From Saturday night when he got the phone call...it still hasn't hit me. I'm completely numb. I have to go home and watch it again. I was hugging everyone [after the HR] and did't really even see him run the bases. I didn't see him [non-Steven Matz like] tip his cap to the crowd. I can't wait to go back to the hotel and just watch everything when I'm by myself.

Bam - great stuff.
