2017 Puppy Bowl crushed Kitten Bowl

TV by the Numbers reports that the Puppy Bowl left cats and fish in its wake...

Animal Planet’s 13th annual Puppy Bowl telecast improved on last year’s ratings and scored the most viewers on cable on Super Bowl Sunday.

The two-hour show delivered 2.47 million viewers, up from 2.2 million in 2016, and a 0.8 rating in adults 18-49 vs. 0.7 last year. ESPN’s “NFL Primetime” following the Super Bowl led the 18-49 rankings for the day with a 1.0.

Puppy Bowl also once again dominated the other animal-based stunt programming. Hallmark’s Kitten Bowl delivered a 0.1 in adults 18-49 for two segments, while the Fish Bowl — literally just a camera pointed at a goldfish bowl — had a 0.0 and 91,000 viewers.

Probably a continued response to the fake news and when CBS lost every tape of Boomer Esiason's pledge to block Kitty Bowl 2 in Hawaii...
