CRANBURY, NJ: Find this dog killing girl hitting silver SUV

Cranbury, NJ - Wednesday May 10, 2017 @ 6:18 PM -- A silver SUV hit a 13-year-old girl crossing South Main Street near Evans Drive - killing her dog and fleeing the crime.

Police Chief Rickey Varga said the SUV driver did not stop to render aid to the girl following the impact and fled the scene, heading north on Main Street.

Evans Drive is North of The Cranbury Inn and slightly south of the Fire House. This basterd would have then driven through the heart of town.

6:18 on a Wednesday - that SUV is either coming to get pizza or ice cream or cutting through to get to Plainsboro, etc.

You can almost guarantee that SUV has been in that same location on any given night. Someone saw it.

Police are looking for an older model Ford Explorer or similar type vehicle, possibly a champagne or silver color, that was heading north on Main Street around the time of the crash, Varga said.

Police are asking residents on North Main Street or Plainsboro Road with surveillance cameras that captured traffic images between 6:10 and 6:30 p.m. last night to call the department at (609) 395-0031. A message board will be put up at the scene of the crash within the next couple of days to obtain as much information from the public as possible.

*Update - reports today indicate that the SUV left behind some pieces. You are going to be found.
