NY Post's Cindy Adams intimates problems with prison staff's story about Aaron Hernandez' death

Mystery shrouds NFL star’s death

THE saga behind NFL’s former star, the Patriots’ Aaron Hernandez — jailed, then acquitted for murder, then committing suicide in his prison cell — continues. A just-released note to the woman he loved was no lone communication. Insiders know immediately preceding his death he’d also written at least another beautiful touching letter. Sent to one of his attorneys, its contents looked toward the future and could not, says that recipient, “ever be classified as a suicide note.” Expect litigation to probe the question of how — in a minutely monitored prison — this horror could have happened...

is some strong condemnation of staff at the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts, isn't it? (Not to mention use of the words 'beautiful touching,' 'in a minutely monitored prison,' and 'this horror...') The Massachusetts Department of Correction statement read "Lifesaving techniques were attempted on Mr. Hernandez, and he was transported to UMass Leominster, where he was pronounced dead at 4:07 a.m.," at the time.

Interesting how that piece is missing from the Cindy Adams archive on NYPost.com right now.
