Win a Mercedes Benz AMG starting Super Bowl Sunday at 6:30 in the crazy 'Last Fan Standing' contest

Mercedes Benz is running a contest to win an AMG starting at 6:30 on Super Bowl Sunday. MB writes, "...get your pointer finger ready. Game day is almost here. We're giving away a Mercedes-AMG and you only need to do one thing: Be the last person touching the car on-screen, and it's yours. Prep for the game — head to LastFanStanding.com to try a few practice rounds. The contest begins Sunday, February 4th at 6:30 PM EST. Are you ready?"

OK? Already that gave us the creeps. 'Be the last person touching the car on-screen, and it's yours.' To be factual - that's giving us the cramps. But it gets worse. Much worse. Here's the FAQs ma'am.

HOW DO I REGISTER?

You can register in a few simple steps, starting at 12:01AM ET on Sunday, February 4th 2018.

HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO PLAY?

18 years or older.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PLAY?

A finger, a phone, and focus. Oh, and time—lots of it.

DO I NEED A DRIVER'S LICENSE?

Yep, you need a valid U.S. driver's license to be an eligible winner. This car deserves to be driven.

WHAT KIND OF CAR CAN I WIN?

A brand new 2018 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Coupe.

HOW DO I PLAY?

Using your phone's screen, keep your finger somewhere on the car for as long as you possibly can. Sounds easy.

WHAT'S THE CATCH?

The car (and the camera filming it) both move.

HOW DO I WIN?

Be the last person touching the car. You'll see how many other players you're up against at the top-left of the screen.

WHEN DOES THE GAME START?

Sunday, February 4th 2018 at exactly 6:30PM ET. You have no other plans then, right?

HOW LONG DOES THE GAME LAST?

Who knows. Could be hours, could be days. Hopefully not weeks. The game ends when you give up or win.

CAN WE GET A MID-GAME BREAK?

Once you're registered on the big day, you can Tweet about Last Fan Standing to activate a 5-minute Timeout.

HOW DOES THE TIMEOUT WORK THEN?

If you've activated a Timeout before the game starts, it's like having an extra life. If your finger leaves the car or the screen, a 5-minute countdown starts. Just make sure your finger is already back on the car when the Timeout is up! I like my friends.

CAN THEY PLAY TOO?

Sure, you can invite them here. If they win, you get shotgun dibs for life.

WHAT IF I NEED THE TOILET?

You'll have to handle that one.

CAN I ‘TAG TEAM' THE GAME WITH ONE OR MORE FRIENDS?

No. If you let a friend's finger take over from yours during actual gameplay, you will be disqualified.

DO I NEED WIFI TO PLAY?

You can play with or without Wifi, but we'd recommend with.

CAN I GET BACK IN THE GAME IF MY WIFI DROPS OUT, OR MY PHONE CRASHES?

Nope. Life can be cruel and unforgiving.

ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW?

Make sure to keep your phone horizontal during the game. If you turn it upright and the screen flips, it's literally game over.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF I'VE WON?

A sense of euphoria is usual. Also, you'll see a notification on your screen. We'll reach out to you using the contact information you gave at registration to confirm eligibility before the big announcement.

WHAT IF I LAST FOR HOURS AND HOURS BUT DON'T WIN—DO I STILL GET SOMETHING?

Sadly, nothing but a blister and a warm feeling inside. But you can show off your impressive time on social media if you'd like.

CAN I PLAY ON MY DESKTOP OR TABLET?

Nope. We want the competition to be as easy (and as difficult) for everyone. No mouse pointers. No big screen tablets.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO PLAY?

If you're more of a ‘passenger' type, you can still watch the goings on live from your phone or desktop.

ANYTHING ELSE?

Practice, practice, practice. Use Training Mode and check out our Tips and Tricks. Good luck to you and your finger.

Catch that one? "The car (and the camera filming it) both move." So not only do you have the dystonia inducing need to keep your finger on the screen...you have to look at the damn thing too! Yeah, no thank you.

But you sign up right now right here. We're still annoyed Mercedes specified that the 722.6 transmission was “sealed for life" and won't now admit that it is not and will not take care of the, wait for it, 700 dollar fluid change costs.
