Craig Carton claims Nats looked to add 5th 1B to team by trading Harper to Yanks for Bird & Sanchez

Craig Carton, surrounded by two unlistenable pseudo co-hosts, claimed today that a very reliable source told him the Washington Nationals offered to trade Bryce Harper to the NY Yankees for lazy catcher Gary Sanchez and first baseman Greg Bird.

Bird, batting .231 with 8HRs would join Matt Adams (.284/16), Ryan Zimmerman, Mark Reynolds (.286/10) and Daniel Murphy in a wonderful five man first base rotation in Washington.



Carton also had Ryan Lochte not at the gas station and...the Busch family as making an offer to Woody Johnson to purchase the players that were the then current New York Jets and move them to St. Louis Missouri.
