Boomer & Gio are New York's #4 & Mike Francesa is #2 (behind Spanish music...)

The first month of the fall ratings book is out. WFAN's morning show, solidly number one for almost a decade, comes in at #4. Boomer & Gio, in the Investor's Bank Studios, rated a 6.1 with men 25-54. At the end of the day, this is what happens when Eddie Scozzare endlessly at this point plays sound clips, Al Dukes whines like an effeminate 11-year-old, Jerry Recco guffaws about how quickly the NFL season is moving along and Boomer Esiason clears his throat and all that other stuff.

Perv Joe Benigno and whiny dick Evan Roberts were an embarrassing #6 at 5.4

The English is Hard on all of us Terrible Trio another #4, also at 5.4

Failed app hawker Mike Francesa was #2 with a 6.3 while the embarrassing Michael Kay could only muster #4 with a 5.5

Andrew Marchand, he of the 8 paragraphs when only one are needed, e-l-a-b-o-r-a-t-e-s on that last race:

In the ultimate way stations judge themselves, the male 25-54 demographic, Francesa’s WFAN show finished second, with a 6.3 rating, compared to Kay’s 98.7 FM ESPN New York’s fourth at 5.5. Spanish music station WSKQ was first at 7.5.

Inside the numbers, it is neck and neck. While both Francesa and Kay averaged the same .6 rating for the quarter-hour ratings in 25-54, Kay beats Francesa 5.5 to 4.8 in the 25-59 male demo. Francesa’s audience skews older.

And probably senile like Francesa, too.
