Audio: Chris Mad Dog Russo talks 'fight' with David Diehl

Barely heard Chris “Mad Dog” Russo and horrific WFAN Sunday Football show co-host NY Giant David Diehl had a confrontation Wednesday night at Manny’s Steakhouse.

“I knew something could occur here (at the Super Bowl). [Wednesday] night, unbeknownst to me we ran into each other,” Russo said.

The issue stems from Diehl, who also works for SiriusXM, being unwilling to go on a show with Steve Torre “for five minutes” around the time the Giants had benched Eli Manning. (Torre is on the satellite radio provider mid-days before Russo gets on the air at 3. Which, of course, you didn't know.)

“He’s David Diehl. He’s 6-foot-6, 250, a two-time Super Bowl champ,” Russo said of the possibility of getting hit. “I didn’t think he was going to punch me, but it was rough.”

Trying to protect the channel...Russo's either drunk or his speech impediment has gotten worse.
