Classic 1990 audio of Mike and the Mad Dog making bad predictions during a Mets rain delay

A new piece of rare, vintage Mike And The Mad Dog surfaces! This is from barely one year into their time together and they are filling in for Howie Rose on the "Mets Extra" program, something they would certainly never have done in later years. The Mets are in a rain delay, so Bob Murphy throws it to them for over 40 minutes of filler until the game was finally called that evening.

Mike and Chris interview ex-Mets broadcaster Gary Thorne (there to cover the game for ESPN) and Mets beat writer Howard Blatt. A lot of talk about the Mets fading chances in the NL East race and some VERY inaccurate predictions regarding the eventual World Champion Cincinnati Reds!
