12-Year-Old Fundraising for Paralyzed Rutgers Star Eric LeGrand

Just in to the Blitz:

Hello. My name is Matthew Taffet, I am 12 years old and a Rutgers football fan. On October 16, Eric LeGrand, a junior defensive tackle for Rutgers Scarlet Knights, suffered a serious spinal cord injury. I want to help and am asking you to consider helping me to achieve a goal of aiding Eric LeGrand and his family.

Eric is a 20 year old student whose life will be forever changed. He was a star football player at Colonia Highs School and has been an excellent player at Rutgers. I have decided there are a few things I can do to help Eric: raise funds to assist him and his family, keep him in my thoughts, and raise awareness in the community.

I have designed a red and black bracelet that says "52 We Believe 52." For anyone who makes a contribution, I want to send you a bracelet. I am also selling bracelets at stores, in my neighborhood, and with the help of friends. If you are interested in supporting Eric and receiving a bracelet, please send any amount ($1, $5, $10 or more) to:

Matthew Taffet
c/o "We Believe"
1460 Route 9 North, suite 210
Woodbridge, NJ 07095

If you send a check, please make it out to "Eric LeGrand Believe Fund." I will send you a bracelet and make sure that 100% of all contributions are provided to the Fund. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Your Friend,

Matthew Taffet
