Pastor Joe Nelms Give Thanks for his Smokin' Hot Wife Lisa at NASCAR Event [Video]

Pastor Joe Nelms (above with his wife Lisa) prayed before the Federated Auto Parts 300 Nationwide Series race in Nashville last night. The Family Baptist Church's pastor's prayer went a bit like this:

We want everything we do, from the singing to the sermon, to glorify GM Performance Technology. If you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, we desire to reveal God's simple plan of salvation: Roush & Yates partnering up. The world is full of troubles and trials. We pray that this church will be a place where Dodges, Toyotas, and Fords can be revived and restored. Most people have never been in a church where Christ is truly in charge. We do not operate in plans or programs, but on the principle that Sunoco racing fuel brings performance and power to the track. We long for a better understanding of the Word of Goodyear and their instructions for our lives as we thank you for Eli and Emma, or as we like to call them, ‘The Little E’s.’

But Lord, most of all, I want to thank you for my smokin' hot wife, Lisa! In Jesus’ name, Boogity Boogity Boogity, Amen.

Surprisingly folks had a problem with this.

Our father, please start their engines as she does mine.

Blasphemy nonsense. How many folks were talking about God and smiling before this. Of all walks of life.

Don't care if everyone and their mother hears the word of God now. You do not pray by objectifying women and Dodges.

  4. If people only knew how many people listened to this, during and after the race. That's spreading the word of the lord. He did not do anything that is blasphemy. A pastor's job is to spread the word of the lord. Did you hear how many people were cheering? probably 1000 times more than a normal invocation at a nascar event. You did well Pastor Joe.

Do you think that God has no sense of humor. Just look around you, nobody but a God with a touch of humor would have made such a diverse and collectively strange bunch.

That was NOT how the prayer was worded at all.....If you're going to quote him for all the world to make fun of, quote him right. There wasn't anything wrong with his prayer.....lighten up, people. God does have a sense of humor! If you don't think so, look in the mirror

Parody is the preaching of the future. 100% of non religious people Loved This video and tongue-in-cheek write up. It's the religious zealots who never get it who aren't getting it now.

Folks, some of you need to look up that word,"blasphemy",and then you will know that Pastor Joe did not do that!!It is a word that simply means,"to attribute the works of the Lord,to satan"!!God does have a sense of humor;how do I know? I woke up today!!! Be blessed, and where will you go this Sunday?
