'Monday' is a Racist Term and a Cop Apparently Called Carl Crawford One

Boston Red Sox left fielder Carl Crawford was on a rehab stint with the Portland Sea Dogs on July 5th in Manchester, N.H. when, according to the outfielder, he was called a 'Monday.' Turns out the slur came from a 5 year veteran with the Leominster Police Department.

"Mayor Dean Mazzarella said the patrolman is on vacation and will be placed on desk duty next week. The city's inquiry is expected to conclude Tuesday."

The term apparently comes from the 'nobody likes Monday' thing...and is apparently a popular racial epithet in Boston.

Always learning. Always learning.
