Why not let your 18-month old toddler play with a 300 pound gorilla?

The Howletts Wild Animal Park in Kent was set up by John Aspinall (who died in 2000) and is now run by his son, Damian. 20 years ago Damian had his 18-month-old daughter Tansy play with a 300 pound gorilla. Only now has that video been released.



Damian said of the vid: “Before, I wouldn’t have released it but now, with the internet it is different. I don’t care if I get a bit of stick because I think the gorillas get a good deal out of it. If we can show millions of people how gentle and noble and wonderful these animals are, then I think we’re doing the gorillas a service.”
