McComish later tweeted "Just letting everyone know I'm fine! Stitches in my head. Gash on forehead and back of me head and little cuts from the glass nothin serious" along with this picture:
Not only did McComish emerge relatively unscathed, he didn't even miss a day of school, according to athletic director Bud Postma: "The unfortunate accident that occurred on Friday was indeed a scary moment for everyone involved," Postma said. "We are thankful to report that the student/athlete injured is recovering and is in school."

hes one tough dude
Why does it look like they are wrestling in the dark??
Why do some people want to immediately sue someone when some things are purely accidental. Can you prove negligence? Maybe the structure holding the light simply failed. How about we focus on working for a living instead of trying to get everything for free. We have insurance for accidents like this.
In a lot of duals they will spotlight the main mat and turn the rest of the lights down in the arena.
I wouldn't call him lucky. I would say the other wrestler was the lucky one since the light fell right before he was getting in position.
So how did they decide the match? Injury forfeits usually give one team 6 points.
You should sue the doctor who made those morgue styled stitches.
