Suck it: Teen girl's Facebook post officially costs dad $80K, European vacation

Seems 69-year-old Patrick Snay, the former headmaster of Gulliver Preparatory School (South Florida), reached a settlement in 2011 in an age-discrimination complaint after the school decided not to renew his contract. The deal was $10,000 in back wages, $60,000 in attorneys’ fees, and an $80,000 settlement. Patrick's daughter Dana was so thrilled, she took to Facebook where she posted:

“Mama and Papa Snay won the case against Gulliver. Gulliver is now officially paying for my vacation to Europe this summer. SUCK IT.”

Yeah, except the cash came with an confidentiality agreement. And the court ruled, “Based on the clear and unambiguous language of the parties’ agreement and Snay’s testimony confirming his breach of its terms, we reverse the order entered below granting the Snays’ motion to enforce the agreement.”

Snay can still appeal to the Supreme Court.
