NY Jets '1st down' guy, CBS' Joe Nolan has suffered a heart attack

CBS-FM 101.1 and Rutgers' (And we'll just not mention that annoying "And that's a Jets first down!") good guy Joe Nolan had a heart attack yesterday. His son Brad, via Facebook, updated the situation this morning before Joe himself jumped online:

Well it's been a rough 24 hours since I got the call yesterday that my Dad Joe Nolan has had a heart attack. I am very pleased to report that he had surgery to place a stint in and that almost immediately took the pain away. He is resting comfortable at an area hospital and is on the path to recovery. The doctor said one of the things that was a total saver was that there was no hesitation to call for immediate medical help (911). The professionals of the Westfield EMS and Westfield Police Department arrived within what he said was 60 seconds. I know we all greatly appreciate all of the calls and messages wishing him well and we will pass them along to him to him.

About an hour ago, Joe writes, "Hello everyone thank you for all your notes and all your concern I really appreciate it. Thank God we caught it in time and I'm going to be fine. Great job by the Westfield Police Department the Wesco rescue squad the Atlantic health paramedics and all the doctors and nurses here at Overlook Hospital in Summit New Jersey Atlantic health people what a great job they have done. We left the house at 9:10 and the surgery was done by 1030 amazing. I'll keep you posted."

Godspeed Joe.
