ESPN sends Kenny Mayne out on SportsCenter to, ridiculously, mock Jay Glazer's theft claim

An organization reports something, ESPN carries it as 'according to media reports.'

Someone scoops something, ESPN carries it as 'according to XYZ and confirmed to ESPN.'

An actual ESPN scoop? Reporter's name or “ESPN Report"

Someone scoops something and some time passes, ESPN carries it as, 'according to ESPN's XYZ and multiple media reports.'

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports that Johnny Manziel is starting this weekend and ESPN reports that an 'unnamed ESPN reporter' reports that Johnny Manziel is starting this weekend. And after Jay calls them out as 'lying bastards' -- they trot Kenny Mayne out there to declare that they don't care about getting credit for stories.

"All day Tuesday a Twitter fight was held to determine who best should take credit for reporting that Johnny Manziel will start at quarterback Sunday for the Cleveland Browns. #whocares #obviousfromsundayscomments....."

Who cares? ESPN would have been better not at all mentioning the theft on-air when they, in fact, care more than anyone.

Here's the sad (sad Kenny) video.

Think of that stupidity every single time you see 'media reports' on ESPN...or as they suspend another worker.
