North Penn High School, Lansdale, PA has its first female football player. Junior Kelly Macnamara came aboard last season as the Knights's kicker. Often as the only female on the field, Kelly feels she's watched closer than one of the guys.

Hmmm. Apparently the 'watch that girl kicker Kelly closely' rule didn't make it to Central Bucks East because...after one of her kickoffs was returned 30 yards - Kelly drove the returner flying out of bounds with a shoulder leveling tackle.

In addition to her big hit, Macnamara knocked down two field goals and three extra points.

North Penn won the game 33-14 and is 7-0 on the season.
