SAD: WWE wrestler George 'The Animal' Steele dead at 79

Wrestling legend George 'The Animal' Steele has died at the age of 79.

The WWE Hall of Fame star passed away after suffering from kidney failure. His wife told TMZ he had been in and out of hospice care since April.

Saw George at MSG in 1977 against Bruno Sammartino. (Bloodied...he lost after a series of knees to the head.)

Prior to breaking into sports, Steele received his Master's Degree from Central Michigan University and became a high school teacher and wrestling coach in the Detroit area.
