TicTocStop's Charity Event Raises Funds for Camp Carton & Other TS Projects

Additional Fundraisers, Including Celebrity Golf Outing & Second Annual Gala, Scheduled for Later This Year

NEW YORK, NY May 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The TicTocStop Foundation continues to raise funds and awareness to improve the lives of Tourette Syndrome patients. The organization's March Madness event at NYY Steak in Manhattan on March 17, 2016, which celebrated St. Patrick's Day as well as the start of the NCAA basketball tournament (and included a silent auction), raised money to help support Camp Carton.

Now in its third year, Camp Carton is a weeklong sleepaway camp for children with Tourette Syndrome from the Northeast between ages 10 and 13. Camp Carton provides these children with a safe and supportive environment where they are free to have fun and build self-confidence. The third annual session of Camp Carton will take place from July 10-16, 2016 in Upstate New York. To sign up for Camp Carton, and view photos and videos from last year's session, visit http://www.campcarton.com.

Proceeds from the March Madness event will also go toward TicTocStop grants to fund medical research that can improve the lives of Tourette Syndrome patients. The foundation is currently sponsoring a full clinical trial of "The Tic Guard," a mouthpiece designed to mitigate the frequency and severity of TS tics, through a privately funded $340,000 grant. The clinical trial is being conducted under the auspices of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center at medical centers in Memphis, Tenn., and Long Island. Anyone interested in learning more about the study can do so here.

The foundation's upcoming fundraisers include the third annual TicTocStop Celebrity Golf Outing on June 28, 2016 at Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., and the second annual TicTocStop Gala on October 20, 2016 in Manhattan.

"We are grateful to all of our supporters for helping us make life better for Tourette Syndrome patients and their families," said Craig Carton, Founder and President of TicTocStop. "Our fundraisers not only provide opportunities for children and adults with TS to enjoy life today, but also bring us one step closer to finding a cure for TS tomorrow."

About TicTocStop

The TicTocStop Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established by WFAN Radio and CBS Sports personality Craig Carton to combat Tourette Syndrome on two fronts—funding medical research and innovation to help find a cure, and enabling children diagnosed with TS to enjoy their lives today.

In addition to supporting important medical research, TicTocStop founded and completely funds Camp Carton, a one-week sleepaway camp for children with Tourette Syndrome. The foundation organizes and hosts a series of events throughout the year that serve as fundraisers while providing unique and memorable experiences for TS patients and their families.
