Why'd the NYT's Megan Twohey & Michael Barbaro edit what Jessica Leeds said about Donald Trump?

Jessica Leeds claims Donald Trump molested her in first class in the 1980's. She said, "He was like an octopus, it was like he had 6 arms."

Of of those damn six armed octopuses.

How'd the New York Times Megan Twohey & Michael Barbaro write that quote up? As, “He was like an octopus,” she said. “His hands were everywhere.”

Oh and they don't write up her claims that if he had just stuck to second base - she would have been 'OK' with that.
