Craig Carton livid WFAN / CBS sending Mike Francesa to 2017 Super Bowl

2014, Mike Francesa and WFAN boss Mark Chernoff argued when Francesa indicated he did not want to go to Arizona to do a week of shows during the run-up to Super Bowl XLIX.

October, 2016: Francesa refused to make his 2016 week 4 NFL picks because WFAN wouldn't extend his contract to 2/2/18 so that he could cover Super Bowl LII at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Last week, Francesa threw John Minko under the bus for his 'missed' Craig Carton Islanders promos.

Turns out Mike intimidated Minko into not reading those promos and CBS/WFAN, meeting Francesa halfway, is sending him to Houston for Super Bowl LI (also known as Super Bowl Loser 1).

Sending him while the networks have not yet decided whether or not Craig Carton and Boomer Esiason are being sent.

Big shot Norman Esiason? "I'm going!"

Let's be honest -- the worst week of sports talk radio is the lead up to a Super Bowl. Idiots on radio row promoting M&Ms, gout remedies, and blood clot drugs. And Esiason, getting older and living the unhealthy life that includes late nights, lack of sleep, too much travel, bad for you food and an expanding waistline? A show from NYC is just what the doctored ordered.
