Mike Francesa forced to explain his fugazi Bose WFAN FM-AM Super Bowl LI trivia contest

Mike Francesa's 2017 Bose WFAN FM-AM Super Bowl trivia contest is really, really fugazi.

We reported yesterday that up to four "Qualifying Prizes" will be awarded. Each Qualifying Prize consists of Bose QC 35 headphones. (That's right - callers have to answer 4 questions like in years past but - that only grabs them some Bose QC 35 headphones and the chance at a trip for 2 to the Super Bowl, aka the Grand Prize.)

On Friday January 27, 2017 at approximately 3:00 PM ET, all four Qualifying Prize winners must call in to the station (boy, that might just be a technical disaster). As part of the Grand Prize Game, each Qualifying Prize winner will be asked to correctly answer another football-related trivia question or to identify another information football-related audio. (Each Qualifying Prize winner will receive a different question/audio.)

In order to advance to the next round, the Qualifying Prize winner must correctly answer their trivia question or identify the requested information in the audio. If at any time a Qualifying Prize winner does not answer the trivia question or identify the audio correctly, he/she will be disqualified and will not advance to the next round.

This will continue until only one Qualifying Prize winner advances to the next round -- making him/her the Grand Prize winner.

Today? Francesa was forced to relay the rules and the fact that each Qualifying Prize winner will receive a different question/audio challenge.

Wow. That is rough. And now Craig Carton weighed in on the contest.
