Watch Police Unity Tour bikers depart East Windsor (5-10-17) on way to D.C.
East Windsor, NJ -- The Police Unity Tour's (We Ride For Those Who Died) primary purpose is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. Thousands of officers participate in a four-day, 250-mile bike trip from New Jersey to Washington, D.C. (including Russell Finkelstein & Joseph Breyta III, Joseph Jankowski, Justin Kowalczyk + assoc Ronald Sost of the Plainsboro NJ Police Department; Motoring Frank Bal, Edward McQuade, Francesco LaTorre, Melissa Nagy and William Campbell Knox of Wast Windsor's PD; Dave Berez, Dale Kleinkauf, John Bartzak (retired) and P/O Robert Davison rode this year for East Windsor; Ken Puccio Sr., Gilberto Simao, David Guzman, Jessica Dejesus, Joseph Breyta, Daniel Mendes and Frank Cristiano out of Perth Amboy; and Thomas Hernandez et al. of Newark PD as well).
The 2017 ride will left Northern New Jersey on May 9th and will arrive in Washington, DC on May 12th. The Candlelight Vigil will take place May 13th at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial (NLEOM).
Today, Wednesday May 10th, riders took a break at the Target in East Windsor before heading back on the road. Here's video of them departing.
