NC traffic stop Meth suspect dives into ocean & swims to evade cops...and a shark

Surf City, NC -- Surf City Police stopped a vehicle that Zachary Kingsbury was in when the suspect bolted and jumped in the ocean. The dope turned the traffic stop into a rescue mission that included the police, Pender EMS, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Surf City Fire Department and the North Topsail Beach Police Department.



Kingsbury is now in the Pender County Jail. Records show he is from Lynnwood in Washington. He is charged with resisting arrest, obstructing an officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and up to half an ounce of marijuana, jail records show.

Tag him with a bill for that rescue to boot.
